LSL Instruments is very glad to announce that we will be producing the new Ray Parker Jr signature Tbone starting immediately!

Ray is one of the most well known guitarists on the planet and can play and own any guitar he chooses. But his go to guitar for stage and studio is his LSL Instruments Black Guard Swamp Ash Tbone.

This is a tremendous honor for us. We are a very small builder and hard working folks that simply love what we do. So being able to work with Ray on such a massive project is really a Godsend and a blessing.

The initial run of guitars will have his original specs and also will feature matched aging work on them to have very similar appearance, sound, feel and playability as his original.

Ray’s original Tbone is a Black Guard Butterscotch in color with a maple neck. However in this signature run we will be doing some of his favorite colors and making a slab rosewood fingerboard available!

That way you can have Ray’s original feel with different color choices and even dip into the 60’s feel for greater songwriting inspiration and tone scapes.

The USA Custom model will feature a full luxurious nitrocellulose finish with finish checking and aging to match Ray’s workhorse Tbone.

This model will have very nice finish checking and meticulous attention to detail in regards to giving you the same look and feel and functionality as Ray enjoys on his Tbone.

We will also be voicing our pickups to mimic Ray’s along with the shape and dimensions of his hand carved medium C neck shape.

The USA Era Series model will have all the same attention to detail as our custom model.

The only difference will be that we will employ a flash coat nitro finish to save you $600 on the retail price. If you are not familiar with the flash coat finish, they are wonderful.

A flash coat nitro finish is simply the very thinnest finish you can spray on a guitar which allows for the wood to resonate freely and play like there’s nothing there at all! Our ultra popular Era Series guitars use this finish and our fans absolutely love it.
